Peter James Icalia-Gann, PhD

PETER JAMES GANN has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed research articles in top-tier journals on gene editing and regulation and whole genome sequence analysis to understand molecular mechanisms in cells of various organisms. His researches are also recognized by elite scientific societies in the US through various awards such as the Henry Daniell International Scholar Award from the American Society of Plant Biologists and Hope E. Hopps Award from the Society for In-Vitro Biology. He founded the Center for Cellular and Molecular Medical Research (CMED) that caters to the needs of surrounding hospitals, universities and other research institutions to understand biomolecular mechanisms of health and diseases in northern Philippines. Dr. Gann holds a doctorate in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Arkansas under a Fulbright scholarship.

DON CARLO BATARA is a faculty member at Mariano Marcos State University, Philippines. He earned his Ph.D. in Agriculture (major in Animal Science and Biotechnology) from Chonnam National University, Gwangju, South Korea. His research encompasses cancer biology, molecular and cellular biology, bioinformatics, immunology, and natural product-based therapeutics. His multidisciplinary work integrates experimental and computational approaches to uncover molecular mechanisms underlying disease progression and identify potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets. He has authored and co-authored several research articles published in reputable international journals. Dr. Batara is particularly interested in the application of integrated omics and systems biology to advance translational biomedical research. As an associate editor, he is committed to promoting scientific rigor, innovation, and the dissemination of impactful research that bridges fundamental science and clinical relevance.

 

Raymund Julius G. Rosales

RAYMUND JULIUS G. ROSALES is a faculty researcher at the College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development of the Department of Agricultural Sciences. He is active in different functions, such as instruction, research, and extension. He established the Postharvest and Seed Technology program in the college. He finished his PhD in Postharvest Technology at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok, Thailand with the Petchra Pra Jom Klao Scholarship. His research interests are on microgreens, seed priming, the effect of fruit maturity and storage on seed quality, and antibrowning of fresh-cut produce.

 

Tahrir Jatli R. Alenezi

Tahrir Jatli R. Alenezi, PhD

TAHRIR JATLI R. ALENEZI is an Assistant Professor of Medical Laboratory Technology – Microbiology at Northern Border University, Saudi Arabia. She earned her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Arkansas, with a dissertation titled "The Effect of Microbial Bile Acid Metabolism on Clostridium perfringens Virulence." She also holds a masters in medical microbiology from Long Island University, where her work examined the Antimicrobial Activity of Commiphora molmol (myrrh), and a bachelor’s in medical laboratory technology from Northern Border University. Her research focuses on microbial pathogenesis, bile acid metabolism, and the development of novel antimicrobials. Dr. Alenezi has authored and co-authored multiple peer reviewed publications on Clostridium perfringens, Campylobacter, and microbiota-host interactions. She has presented at international meetings, including the Poultry Science Association and the Conference of Research Workers in Animal Diseases (CRWAD).

 

Cristina D. Valentin

CRISTINA D. VALENTIN is an accomplished faculty-researcher at the College of Engineering, Mariano Marcos State University. She concurrently leads the University’s Regional Research Center for Climate Change Studies (RRTCCCS) where she spearheads research and extension initiatives in addressing climate resilience. Dr. Valentin earned her a doctorate degree in Agricultural and Rural Systems Engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea. Her research interest includes smart agriculture, computational fluid dynamics, climate adaptation, microclimate environment. As a dedicated faculty-researcher, she has led and collaborated various government and internationally funded projects aimed at improving agricultural productivity and sustainability.

 

Jareason C. Fabre

JAREASON C. FABRE is an administrator and researcher at Mariano Marcos State University. He previously served as Chief of the MMSU Social Development Research Center and as a faculty member of the College of Teacher Education. A Fulbright scholar, he was a visiting faculty at Gonzaga University in Washington, USA, where he taught Filipino as a heritage and foreign language. Dr. Fabre earned his PhD in Linguistics. His research interests span Applied Linguistics, Gender Studies, Cultural Studies, Language Education, and Literature. He continues to engage in projects that promote language awareness, gender equity, and cultural understanding in education and community contexts.

 

Ukhyeon Yeo

Ukhyeon Yeo, PhD
Gyeongsang National University, Jinju, South Korea

Ukhyeon Yeo is a Professor in the Department Agricultural Engineering at Gyeongsang National University (GNU), South Korea. He earned his PhD at Seoul National University, where he focused on ICT, artificial intelligence, and digital-twin frameworks to optimize environmental control in smart agriculture facilities. Dr. Yeo has an extensive research background in computational fluid dynamics and building energy simulation for ventilation facilities. As an accomplished researcher, Dr. Yeo has authored and co-authored several articles in reputable journals. In addition, he actively contributed to national and international industrialization efforts, such as ITU-T SG20 and TTA PG424, which aimed to advance the global smart-farm ICT standard.

 

Maico Demi B. Aperocho

Maico Demi B. Aperocho, PhD
University of Mindanao, Philippines

MAICO DEMI B. APEROCHO is the Assistant Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Education at the University of Mindanao–Main, Davao City, where he also teaches in the AB English Language Program. As a Fulbright scholar at Gonzaga University, Washington, he became an Emerging Scholars Fellow in the United States, focusing on Asian mental health and communication in White communities. He earned his PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Mindanao and his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the National Teachers College. His research interests include discourse analysis, language pedagogy, and sociolinguistics. Dr. Aperocho has published journals, authored books on technical writing and the Sustainable Development Goals, and has presented papers and conducted training in the Philippines and abroad.

MARI ELAINE P. LORICA is an Assistant Professor at the College of Health Sciences-Nursing Department of Mariano Marcos State University, Philippines. She is a nurse educator, extensionist, and an esteemed researcher, pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy major in Nursing Research at Saint Louis University, Philippines. She serves as the Chief of the Office for Research Ethics and concurrently chairs the University Research Ethics Review Board where she leads the promotion of integrity and ethical conduct in research. Her scholarly works demonstrate depth and relevance, contributing significantly to the fields of Sexual Reproductive Health, Epidemiology, and Nursing Pedagogy. She actively publishes in reputable journals, ensuring the dissemination and utilization of research findings that advance health sciences, nursing education, and practice.

DR. LARRY TERENCE CORNEJO is currently an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, University of Hail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he also serves as Nursing Review Program Director, and Director of Measurement and Evaluation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Arts in Nursing, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management. His research interests focus on nursing education, mental health nursing, quality of life studies, and the integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare and education. Dr. Cornejo has extensive academic and clinical experience, having served in various nursing and leadership roles since 2009. He is also an active peer reviewer for several international journals, including BMC Nursing, Nurse Education in Practice, Heliyon, and PLOS ONE. His commitment to advancing nursing scholarship and evidence-based practice continues to contribute to the growth of nursing research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and beyond.

DR. WISSANEE POLA specializes in postharvest and seed technology, capsicum, and light-emitting diodes. Dr. Pola works on chili seed production, organic seed enhancement, seed technology, and seed storage. She finished her PhD in Postharvest Technology at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok, Thailand. Currently, she is a lecturer at Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand, since 2022.
